Next was the strange excursion on the journey to Bacharach (543rd km). In the wake of placing in a few hours at Bacharach, we headed by venture again to Bingen (529th km). These were worked in 1190, regardless, they fell into ruins in sixteenth C itself, and were recreated later in 1968-78 in Gothic style and changed over into a housing. They are known as the 'Battling kin', a legend, and are one of the Turner creations likewise - Hostile Brothers. In the area among Koblenz and Boppard are around 10 extra royal residences. The accompanying town we crossed was St.Goarshausen and St.Goar (557th km) where the Rheinfels Castle is found. 2 distinct royal residences here are the Maus Castle and Katz Castle (mouse and cat). LORELEI ROCK and HEINRICH HEINE'S SONG

Past this is the most eminent spot in the whole region - Lorelei (555th km). The legend of Lorelei is that she's an uncommonly superb woman with streaming, long, light hair who involved the sailors who endeavored to move the twist of the stream here, making them wreck their boats (Turner's painting Loreley)! She was staying here expecting her ancient history dear. Regardless, with the interferences she made, she was mentioned to be sent away to a religious community. She expected to look onto the stream staying at the Lorelei rock one last time and lo-see, her ancient history darling was returning! She expected to wave to him from that point, notwithstanding, slipped and fell!!! Anyway, it sounds middle age, the story was made up during the 1900s by Heinrich Heine. Her model is there in the stream. Individuals tune of Lorelei is occasionally played on the excursion as we cross this point!

The accompanying royal residence we spotted was Schonburg Castle in Oberwesel (550th km), followed by Gutenfels Castle in Kaub (546th km). In Kaub is moreover the most intriguing, picture takers' main royal residence - Pfalzgrafenstein Castle (Turner's painting Pfalz be Kaub). This is an island castle worked in fourteenth C CE. Amazingly close to it, in the focal region is the Sauerburg Castle, also certain fourteenth C. Today, this is housing as well. Past this, are the remainders of royal residences Stahlberg in Bacharach (544th km) and Furstenberg (541st km).

In conclusion, the Niederburg Castle in Rudesheim (527th km) wraps up this series of royal residences. This was undoubtedly fundamental 10th 11th C on top of outdated Roman obliterates that existed here at this point. These castles are either renovated, revamped, or in ruins. Only 2 of the royal residences in this entire stretch were left strong - Markusburg Castle in Braubach (580th km) and Pfalzgrafenstein Castle in Kaub.
